AFTER VEHICLE RUNS FOR 30 MINUTES, TRANSMISSION JERKS WHEN SHIFTING FROM 1ST TO 2ND. I WAS TOLD THAT THE VALVE BODY NEEDED REPLACEMENT, AND THE VALVE WAS STICKING. IT WILL COST $1000. GMC CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT SAID THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN DO TO HELP ME. IT IS APPARENT THAT THE 97 BLAZER'S HAD SERIOUS PROBLEMS WITH BOTH THE BRAKES AND THE TRANSMISSION BUT DON'T WANT TO DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS REPLACE MY VALVE BODY WITH A NEWER UPDATED VERSION NOW THAT THE BUGS HAVE BEEN WORKED OUT BUT AT MY COST. THERE IS NO REASON THAT A TRANSMISSION ON ANY CAR SHOULD HAVE PROBLEMS AT THIS MILEAGE. TO TOP IT OFF, MOST OF MY MILEAGE IS HIGHWAY. I ALSO PUT MY 4TH SET OF BRAKES ON AT 41,000 MILES.
