The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

I am writing to formally notify you, pursuant to the California Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act (California Civil Code§§ 1790 et seq.), that my 2024 Chevrolet Blazer EV, VIN 3GNKDHRK4RSXXXXXX is subject to an active safety recall N252503010 for the parking brake system. GM has acknowledged the defect, but no genuine repair or remedy Is available. I have already experienced problems with the parking brake, which substantially impair the safety, use and value of the vehicle. Due to the severity of this defect, I have placed the vehicle at the dealership, Woodland Motors, and it will remain there until GM completes the buyback process. I refuse to drive it because it is unsafe. I further understand that GM has instructed the dealership to adjust the depth sensor as so-called remedy. This adjustment has no bearing on the parking brake defect and cannot be reasonably be considered...

In addition, the contact stated that while driving at 20 MPH, the vehicle had jerked with a sudden acceleration before the rear brakes had independently locked. Injuries were sustained. The contact sought medical attention for injuries sustained to his back, neck, and spine. The front passenger sought medical attention for whiplash and head injuries. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The failure occurred on several occasions. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure.
