MY BROTHER DIED WHEN HIS 2004 AVEO CRASHED SIDEWAYS INTO A TREE. TRAVELING APPROXIMATELY 60-70 MPH ON I95 IN FL. TROOPERS SAID HE WAS DOING SPEED LIMIT AND HIS CAR HYDROPLANED CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO TRAVEL OFF THE HIGHWAY AND INTO A SMALL PALM TREE. HIS FRIEND WAS EJECTED THROUGH THE FRONT WINDSHIELD ACROSS THE STEERING WHEEL FROM THE PASSENGER SEAT. THIS CAR IS UNSAFE. VIDEO @ WWW.THIBEDEAURESEARCH.COM. *NM
FIRST, I HAVE AN 2004 CHEVROLET AVEO. I HAVE HAD TO REPLACE TWO TIRES DUE TO FLATS. IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE SOME SPECIAL TYPE OF TIRES ON THIS TYPE CAR. ONE TIRE IS PLUGGED AND THE OTHER WAS REPLACED BY A NEW TIRE. SECOND I HAVE 15,040 MILES ON THE CAR SINCE PURCHASE. THIRD, I HAVE HAD TO HAVE THE CAR IN FOR REPAIRS RE: NOISE UNDER THE PASSENGER WHEELS AND THE DRIVERS WHEELS MORE THAN TWICE. THE BATTERY HAS FAILED TO BE USEFUL TWICE. I NEED TO KNOW IF THESE CARS CAN BE LOOKED AT FOR DEFECTS BECAUSE THEY ARE A NEWER MODEL AND I HAVE ASKED OTHER IF THEY HAD ISSUES AND THEY ARE THE SAME. BRAKE LIGHTS CONTINUE TO BURN OUT. *JB
WHILE DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY LEFT FRONT DRIVER'S SIDE TIRE BLEW OUT. THE SECOND TIME CONSUMER SMELLED RUBBER, AND THE TIRE BLEW OUT AGAIN. ON THIRD OCCASION WHILE DRIVING THE RIGHT FRONT PASSENGER TIRE BLEW OUT.*AK
