2017 Buick envision failed an annual smog check with OBD trouble codes: P0700; P2535; and U0100. P0700 is related to a transmission issue.
Check engine light is on Turbo is failing, underboost code. Very unsafe on roadway due to unpredictable loss of power. The issue has been diagnosed through my local service center. I have not taken it to a dealership yet but will be next week. The issue occurred three weeks ago I believe
New tires placed. Oil change next day noted oil leak on differential due to gasket. Mechanic tried to obtain gasket but system told him because my VIN was below a certain number I would need a new differential. Additionally, gasket could not be obtained. Buick knew a problem existed and changed manufacturing, hence, VIN above that certain number has no problems. What all of us below that VIN number?
The contact owns a 2017 Buick Envision. The contact stated that after the vehicle had reached 10,000 miles driven, the transmission failed to immediately shift into drive(D) or 2nd gear while accelerating from being stationary. The check engine, speed sensor, pressure sensor, and solenoid warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a certified mechanic who diagnosed that the speed sensor, pressure sensor, and solenoid sensors had failed, and the transmission needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 36,000.
When I am accelerating at a faster pace, always at 40 mph, my vehicle will start to shake. I have tested it several times now getting onto the interstate, it becomes an issue on the "on ramp" because I have to release the acceleration pedal and then very slowly get up to speed which causes me to not be able to get close enough to the posted speed while on the interstate which in turn causes other drivers to either slow down or try to move in another lane. I took it to my local Buick dealership (Trecek Automotive of Portage) on 4/29/24. They charged me $172.68 for diagnostics which resulted in this: Test drove. Did not feel shaking at first. The harder the vehicle was accelerated, the worse the shaking got. Recommend replacing front CV axle shafts. Cost approx. $1300. At the same time, I had a leak in...
Car keeps jolting forward on it’s. This almost caused me to slam into the back of someone’s car on the highway in bumper to bumper traffic. While trying to slow down the car forcefully slams forward. Other times I have been trying to accelerate from a stop and the car slams forward. When this happens everyone is thrown forward this started happening after repair at Jack Gimbalvo Buick body shop in York. Jack Giambalvo Buick dealership said they can’t duplicate the problem and there are no misfires. I will be calling corporate to make another complaint. I have already been in an accident in this car due to the brakes not working correctly and the whole dash malfunctioning.
THE FIRST TIME (DEC 27, 2019) MY FAMILY WAS DRIVING ON REGULAR ROADS WHEN IT SUDDENLY SAID ENGINE OVERHEATING. WE PULLED OVER & LOOKED AT THE ENGINE AND COULD SEE COOLANT FLUID SQUIRTING OUT OF THE COOLANT PIPE-THERE WERE TINY HOLES IN THE METAL PIPE ALLOWING THIS LEAKAGE OF FLUID. WE WERE AWAY FROM HOME AND HAD TO WAIT SEVERAL DAYS FOR A REPLACEMENT PART TO BE ORDERED & REPAIRS TO BE DONE. ( IT COST US THOUSANDS BETWEEN THE WORK, OEM BUICK PARTS, AND EXTRA HOTEL DAYS SINCE WE WERE ON VACATION AWAY FROM HOME.) THEY REPLACED THE COOLANT PIPE. NOW AGAIN (APRIL 23, 2021), AFTER DRIVING ABOUT 2 MILES ON A REGULAR ROAD, APPROACHING THE ENTRANCE TO A HIGHWAY, THE CAR SUDDENLY SAID ENGINE OVERHEATING! I STOPPED AND TURNED THE CAR OFF. I WAITED ABOUT 25 MINUTES TILL IT COOLED. THEN I STARTED TO DRIVE AGAIN, VERY SLOWLY...
TWICE IN THE LAST MONTH, I HAVE BEEN DRIVING IN MOTION LESS THAN 5 MPH, AND THE CAR ACCELERATED BY ITSELF. I HAD TO SLAM ON THE BRAKES TO STOP IT. THE TIRES SCREECHED. VERY SCARY AS IT ACCELERATED FAST, LURCHING FORWARD. BOTH TIMES IN A CAT LOT.
WHEN DRIVING THE VEHICLE AND INCREASING SPEED, THE TRANSMISSION DOES NOT WANT TO SHIFT. THE RPM'S WILL LITERALLY REDLINE, IF I DO NOT LIFT MY FOOT OFF OF THE GAS QUICKLY, AND REPLACE IT BACK ON THE GAS - THIS REMINDS ME OF A MANUAL SHIFT, BUT THIS IS NOT A MANUAL TRANSMISSION. THE HESITATION IN SHIFTING GEARS HAS GOTTEN SO EXTREME THAT I WILL START TO SMELL A BURNING SMELL IF I DO NOT MANUALLY SHIFT THE TRANSMISSION VIA THE GAS PEDAL. THE CAR ONLY HAS 33,000 MILES, SO I'M SURE THAT THIS IS NOT JUST THE RESULT OF AN OLDER TRANSMISSION. THIS HAPPENS NEARLY EVERYTIME I ACCELERATE MY VEHICLE.
THE VEHICLE SHAKES ON EXCELERATION IT IS WORSE TURNING LEFT OR RIGHT BUT ALSO DOES THE SHAKING GOING STRAIGHT,THE DEALER CALLED GM ENGINEERING AND SO FAR THEY HAVE DONE NOTHING IT HAS BEEN A MONTH NOW AND I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE THAT HAS THIS PROBLEM THIS CAR IS AN ALL WHEEL DRIVE ENVISION PREMIUM 2
