REPAIR DONE UNDER WARRANTY. 7/29/2011 33.234 KM REPORTED TO BMW ASHEVILLE SAME REPAIR AS FIRST TIME. 6/22/2013 65.734 KM REPORTED TO BMW ASHEVILLE SAME REPAIR AGAIN 7/8/2015 38493 MILES REPORTED TO BMW MONTREAL. RECOMMENDED REPLACE BOTH STEPPER (IDLE) MOTOR AND AIRBOX AT A COST OF OVER $1,000 7/9/2015 39000 MILES REPORTED TO BMW MECHANICSBURG, PA. SAME RECOMMENDATION AS BMW OF MONTREAL. I WAS TOLD THAT THE DEALER HAS SEEN THIS PROBLEM ON SIMILAR BIKES AND THAT THEIR RECOMMENDATION WAS THE SOLUTION. THIS OCCURS, USUALLY, WHEN SLOWING TO A STOP OR TRAVELING AT SLOW SPEED IN TOWN/TRAFFIC AS CLUTCH IS ENGAGED AND DOWNSHIFTING....ENGINE STALLS COMPLETELY. ALSO, AT SPEED USUALLY IN CORNERS, WHEN DOWNSHIFTING AND ENGAGING CLUTCH, ENGINE STALLS, AND AS CLUTCH IS RELEASED THE RESULT IS IMMEDIATE REAR TIRE SLIDING/ENGAGEMENT/SKIDDING ALMOST RESULTING IN A CRASH.
