2017 ACURA RDX Unknown Or Other Problems

Locked Acura RDX alarm goes off randomly for no reason. When the alarm is turned off all the lights on the dash are flashing on and off and ticking. The most recent is 8/14/25. But has happened on several occasions especially if locked with the key fob or the lock on exterior of door. On 8/14/2025 it was lock by the inside door lock.

Pearl white paint peeling on trunk of car, same issue as with MDX models.

Drive Train labor rear driver cv halfshaft axle could not locate axle part anywhere for repair, sold out and on back order! clear indication that other drivers are having same issue with this part. should be looked into and recalled!

The alarm and lights keep going off for No reason. The doors can be locked and Armed. Goes off even when not locked.

The contact called on behalf of her mother who was the owner of a 2017 Acura RDX. The contact was reporting the complaint based on verbal information she received from a police officer. The contact stated her mother was driving out of her driveway when she drove into an embankment and the vehicle was stuck. ON THE DAY 10/27/2016 I PURCHASED A ZERO MILE ACURA RDX 2017 VEHICLE FROM BELLA GROUP AT KENNEDY SAN JUAN WITH TRANSMISSION ISSUES. IT JUMPS MOSTLY WHEN IT PASSES 20 MHP AND WHEN IT BRAKES SHE JUMPED AS IF LOWERING CHANGES. DURING THE PAST 3 YEARS I WENT TO ACURA SERVICE IN GUAYNABO AND I TOLD ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION AND THEY ALWAYS TOLD ME THAT IT WAS FINE. ON 9/3/2020 I TOOK THE CAR AND TOLD ACURA SERVICE EVERY TIME ABOUT THE TRANSMISSION, IT WAS DELIVERED TO ME AS EVERYTHING WAS FINE WHICH BOTHERED ME AND I ASKED FOR A MANAGER. THE MANAGER CAME AND WE GAVE A TEST DRIVE AND IN 5 MINUTES HE FOUND THE PROBLEM, THEN THEY GIVE ME THE SERVICE PAPER INFORMING THAT ON 04/4/2017 ACURA INFORMED THROUGH A SERVICE BULLETIN 17-017 THAT THE JUDDER FROM THE TORQUE CONVERTER WHICH CAUSES THAT THE MOTOR OIL BURNS...

THE AIR CONDITIONER/CONDENSERS ON HONDA AUTOMOBILES ARE PRONE TO DAMAGE FROM ROAD DEBRIS BECAUSE OF A DESIGN DEFECT THAT HONDA & DEALERS REFUSES TO REPAIR UNDER WARRANTY.

BLUETOOTH CONNECTION DROPS: MY IPHONE IS CONSTANTLY GETTING DROPPED AND THEN RECONNECTED BY THE BLUETOOTH STEREO SYSTEM. THIS IS INCREDIBLY FRUSTRATING AS I'VE MISSED DIRECTIONS WHEN USING THE GPS NAVIGATION ON MY PHONE AS WELL AS LOST AUDIO WHEN ON PHONE CALLS. THIS HAS PROVEN TO BE CUMBERSOME AND UNSAFE AS IT FORCES ME TO HAVE TO FUMBLE WITH MY PHONE WHILE DRIVING IN TRAFFIC, MAKING OBSOLETE THE "HANDS-FREE" SAFETY FEATURE OF THE CAR AS ADVERTISED. I'VE MISSED MANY GPS TURNS BECAUSE OF THIS AND HAVE HAD TO PICK UP MY PHONE WHILE DRIVING TO FRANTICALLY FIND OUT HOW TO RE-ROUTE MY NAVIGATION. THE SAME IS EXPERIENCED WITH MY WIFE'S IPHONE.
