Bulletin Summary
Some vehicles may experience one or more of the following symptoms in connection with a malfunction related to the C-15 connector. ï· The driver side power window does not operate. ï· The door does not open when using the advanced keyless system. ï· The warning lamp stays ON even after the ignition switch is turned OFF. ï· DTC B10E7:17 (START STOP UNIT, IG1 Relay Circuit Malfunction) and DTCs related to communication errors may be stored in PCM memory. ï· Engine no start due to battery discharge. ï· Clicking sound from throttle body. The symptoms listed above may be caused by corrosion of the C-15 connector terminals due to water intrusion through the front door. In low ambient temperatures, the door harness hardens. If the door is fully opened, it may create a gap between the door and the door harness grommet, which may allow water to enter through the gap.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
