Bulletin Summary
Some customers may notice the charging lamp turns on while driving. Upon inspection, DTC P2502:00 PCM (Malfunction in voltage generated by generator) is stored in memory. This may be caused by resistance between the circuit board and ground. When high intensity electrical current passes through, the ground terminal position may not be sufficient enough. To eliminate this concern, the DC-DC converter control software has been modified. Additionally, the production procedure has been revised. The tightening torque for the ground terminal and circuit board was increased.
About Technical Service Bulletins
A Technical Service Bulletin (TSB) is a document issued by a vehicle manufacturer to its dealers, describing a known issue with a specific vehicle or set of vehicles and the recommended procedure to fix it. Unlike recalls, TSBs are not mandatory and are typically only performed if an owner reports the related issue. However, TSBs can be an indicator of common problems with a vehicle.
