Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving in fourth or fifth gear, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to first gear. The contact shifted the transmission into neutral(N) and came to a stop at the traffic light before starting to drive. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Action Number: EA26001 (Power Train). The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000.
