NHTSA Complaint #11714286 — 2015 FORD EXPLORER

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Explorer. The contact received notification of NHTSA Champaign Number: 24V031000 (Structure). The contact stated that the driver’s and passenger’s side A-pilar trims were partially rotted. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed and determined that that the exterior A-pillar trims needed to be replaced, but the parts were not currently available. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 71,000.
