NHTSA Complaint #11713410 — 2025 HYUNDAI TUCSON

The contact owns a 2025 Hyundai Tucson. The contact stated that while his wife was driving at various speeds, the imminent crash braking failed to function as intended. The first time that the failure occurred, the contact's wife was driving in the rain, and a beeping sound was coming from the vehicle, and the vehicle stopped independently. The vehicle returned to normal functionality after several minutes. The contact stated that on a separate occasion, while his wife was driving in slow traffic, there was an abnormal beeping sound coming from the vehicle before the vehicle independently stopped. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle returned to normal functionality minutes later; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic, and the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 1,000.
