NHTSA Complaint #11702238 — 2018 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2018 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the front driver’s and passenger’s side doors fail to latch securely while attempting to close the doors during freezing or cold weather. The contact was forced to warm up the vehicle for approximately 15-20 minutes before the doors would latch properly while closing the doors. The dealer was notified of the failure and the contact was informed that there were no recalls on the vehicle for the failure, and the contact was provided an estimate for the repair. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 82,743.
