NHTSA Complaint #11697865 — 2015 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while attempting to reverse, the rearview camera became inoperable. The contact stated that the rearview camera image was distorted intermittently. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal occasionally became inoperable and failed to function properly. There was no warning light illuminated. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 25V572000 (Back Over Prevention) and 25V544000 (Service Brakes, Hydraulic); however, the parts for the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was contacted but the vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 112,000.
