NHTSA Complaint #11693119 — 2024 JEEP WRANGLER

On [XXX] Jeep sent out a software update to my car. I did not agree to the update but it obviously updated my vehicle. The next day I went to drive the vehicle and after 1/4 mile the car started flashing the check engine light, it said to put in park and the vehicle died including no braking or steering. It happened three more times before I could get it to a safe place to park. Since it was a Saturday and I was in western North Carolina, there were no Jeep technicians available to help me. I hit SOS on my Jeep and connected to Stellantis. They were having to send a tow truck. I finally read a blog where someone figured out how to rest the uconnect system. ( the one Jeep recommended did not work). It worked and the check engine light came off. However, this was extremely dangerous and irresponsible of Jeep.
