NHTSA Complaint #11690772 — 2021 FORD BRONCO SPORT

The contact owns a 2021 Ford Bronco Sport. The contact stated that on several occasions while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to start-up with several unknown warning lights illuminated and flickering. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V467000 (Fuel System); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The vehicle was towed to the dealer, where it was diagnosed and determined that the fuel injector and catalytic converter had failed and needed to be replaced. The dealer confirmed that parts for the recall repair were not yet available. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 90,200.
