The contact owns a 2013 Chrysler 200. The contact stated that while driving at 35 MPH, the front driver’s and front passenger’s side headrests deployed without warning. The contact stated that the vehicle was previously serviced under NHTSA Campaign Number: 17V640000 (Seats, Air Bags). The vehicle was taken to a dealer where the contact was informed that the headrest needed to be replaced out of pocket. The contact was informed that the vehicle no longer qualified to be serviced under the recall. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The failure mileage was 97,000.
