NHTSA Complaint #11684665 — 2017 INFINITI QX60

The car died suddenly while driving. The battery is only a few months old. Prior to dying a few warning lamps suddenly came on but there was no prior warning. The engine did not overheat, there was no smoke, or check engine light until the car suddenly died. I have been advised that I need a new engine. I have been researching and it appears many others have similar issues with their Infiniti engines. Its [XXX] Please look into this. It’s odd to me that so many folks engines have died at what is actually low mileage. It’s also pretty frustrating and depressing, the repairs can go up to the cost of a new vehicle, when this appears to be a design flaw. I’m starting to meet way to many folks whose Infiniti or Nissan suddenly needs a new trans or engine as soon as the warranty ends.
