Consumer Description

I own a 2019 Ford EcoSport, VIN [XXX] , which is subject to recall 23S64 / 23V905 (Engine Oil Pump Belt and Tensioner Replacement - Final Repair). I was informed of this recall in June 2024, yet Ford has advised there is currently no available remedy. This is a serious safety concern. Under 49 U.S.C. Chapter 301 and the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act, manufacturers must correct safety defects within a reasonable time and at no cost. Ford's failure to provide a repair, replacement, or refund is a violation of these obligations. I request NHTSA's urgent attention to compel Ford to resolve this recall promptly.
