NHTSA Complaint #11677063 — 2019 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving 30 MPH, the vehicle jerked before slamming into gear. The vehicle returned to normal functionality, but the failure became a regular occurrence. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to several independent mechanics. However, no cause for the failure was found. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed that the torque converter had failed. The vehicle has not been repaired.
