NHTSA Complaint #11674345 — 2020 FORD EDGE

The contact owns a 2020 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the accelerator pedal was depressed, but the vehicle failed to accelerate as intended. Additionally, the contact stated the vehicle had stalled and jerked intermittently while driving. There was no warning light illuminated. An unknown dealer was made aware of the failure and provided a fee for diagnostic testing. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The contact related the failure to an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included in the unknown recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure but no assistance was provided. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA Hotline to report the safety failure. The failure mileage was approximately 86,000.
