NHTSA Complaint #11670382 — 2010 FORD FUSION

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated while driving 40 MPH and attempting to make a right turn, the steering wheel became difficult to maneuver. The contact stated that the vehicle was still drivable. The contact stated that the “Service Power Steering Now” warning light was illuminated. The contact attempted to reset the vehicle and the message was displayed on the instrument panel. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic to be diagnosed; however, the result was unknown. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure but offered no assistance. The approximate failure mileage was 267,281.
