Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that while his son was driving at an undisclosed speed and making a turn, the vehicle lost power steering functionality, and almost cause a crash. The driver was able to manually turn the steering wheel and returned to the residence. The message "Power Steering Assist Fault" was displayed. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by a dealer or an independent mechanic. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the dealer for assistance. The failure mileage was unknown.
