The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-350. The contact stated that while reversing, the back over prevention camera system failed to function as intended. The contact stated that the back over prevention camera system displayed a black screen. The contact turned the back over prevention camera off and proceeded to reverse, and the back over camera system independently reset. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, and the contact was informed that parts were not available. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 25V270000 (Back Over Prevention); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 218,500.
