NHTSA Complaint #11666510 — 2021 CHEVROLET TAHOE

The contact owns a 2021 Chevrolet Tahoe. The contact stated that upon attempting to reverse out of a parking spot, the vehicle failed to respond and there was an abnormal rattling sound coming from the rear end of the vehicle. The check engine warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local independent mechanic, where it was diagnosed that the transmission had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 53,000.
