NHTSA Complaint #11664012 — 2016 FORD ESCAPE

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Escape. The contact stated while reversing at an undisclosed speed, the rearview camera screen was intermittently upside down or darkened and failed to return to normal operation. No warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken back to the residence. The contact researched and was made aware of an unknown recall; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
