The contact stated that the failure had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle was repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The contact was informed by the manufacturer that the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to report the failure to the NHTSA Hotline. The approximate failure mileage 89,870.
