NHTSA Complaint #11662834 — 2021 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2021 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at various speeds, the vehicle jerked abnormally, and the transmission was slipping into park, causing the vehicle to come to an unintended, immediate stop. There were several messages displayed on the instrument panel, and the “Service Vehicle Soon” warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to a local dealer, where it was diagnosed, and the contact was informed that the gear shift module was faulty and would need to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired.
