Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2017 Chevrolet Volt. The contact stated while the vehicle was parked, the message "Shift to park" was displayed, and the vehicle failed to turn off. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where it was diagnosed that the gear shifter had failed and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 81,000.
