The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while operating the vehicle, the back over prevention camera screen displayed a blue screen, and there was no visible image displayed. The contact stated that the failure had created a visibility hazard. The contact stated that occasionally, after shifting to the reverse, the back-over prevention camera failed to activate. The cause of the failure was not yet been determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 118,000.
