NHTSA Complaint #11654764 — 2017 FORD FOCUS

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Focus. The contact stated that after starting and driving forward, the check engine warning light illuminated, and the vehicle began to shake and vibrate. The vehicle was driven to the dealer who diagnosed that the clutch assembly, cylinder assembly, lever assembly and seals were faulty and needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The contact was informed that the VIN was not included in NHTSA Campaign Number: 18V845000 (POWER TRAIN). The contact stated that the vehicle had experienced the failure listed in the recall. The failure mileage was 57,313.
