The contact stated that the failure was linked to Technical Service Bulletin: 21-2077. The contact called a transmission specialist and was informed that there was a lock on the transmission. The contact called the local dealer and was informed that the vehicle needed to be diagnostic tested. The mechanic informed the customer about replacing the torque converter. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was contacted, and confirmed there was no repair coverage on the vehicle. The approximate failure mileage was 130,000.
