Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2013 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving on several occasions at various speeds, the transmission unexpectedly downshifted to a lower gear and the vehicle lost motive power. The power train and check engine warning lights were illuminated. Additionally, when the vehicle downshifted, the information on the infotainment screen disappeared. The vehicle was restarted, and the screen reappeared. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 116,000.
