The contact owns a 2013 Ford Focus. The contact stated after driving approximately 35 MPH, the contact attempted to shift to reverse; however, the vehicle failed to respond. There was no warning light illuminated. The vehicle was towed to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed and determined that the clutch needed to be replaced. The contact researched and became aware of an unknown NHTSA Campaign Number; however, the VIN was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure.
