NHTSA Complaint #11624246 — 2017 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-150. The contact stated there was water dripping from the grab handles and the dome light was filled with water. While driving at undisclosed speeds, the vehicle stalled. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was determined that water was leaking into the vehicle causing the computer to be destroyed. The mechanic informed the contact that the drain tubes were not properly connected. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken back to the local dealer, who determined that the drain tube was clogged. While driving in the rain, the headliner was stained and getting wet. The vehicle was taken to a body shop, which determined that water was leaking into the vehicle between the sunroof and panel. The manufacturer was contacted, and the contact was referred to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 80,000.
