Consumer Description
The contact owns a 2015 Ford F-150. The contact stated that the front driver’s side interior door lock switch had intermittently malfunctioned, and the driver was unable to lock the doors while inside the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the local mechanic who replaced the front driver’s door locking actuator and the vehicle was repaired; however, the failure reoccurred. Additionally, while driving at various speeds the transmission erroneously downshifted causing the vehicle to decelerate abruptly. The cause of the failure was not yet determined. The manufacturer and local dealer were notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 140,000.
