NHTSA Complaint #11620632 — 2015 FORD EXPEDITION

The contact owns a 2015 Ford Expedition. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 22V648000 (Visibility, Electrical System). The contact stated while driving 65 MPH, with the A/C activated, the vents stopped blowing air. The contact unplugged the pig tail off the resistor under the passenger’s side dashboard. The contact stated that the pig tail was red hot and burned. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the motor blower needed to be replaced; however, the failure persisted. The failure mileage was 244,000.
