NHTSA Complaint #11614396 — 2007 FORD F-150

The contact's daughter owns a 2013 Ford Focus. The contact stated that the vehicle had failed to shift properly and shuddered. There were no warning lights illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer, where it was diagnosed that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired, but the failure recurred. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, #1 Cochran Ford Boardman (7955 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512); where it was diagnosed and determined that the clutch assembly needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 17,000.
