NHTSA Complaint #11613999 — 2014 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2014 Ford F-150. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the vehicle intermittently experienced a loss of power steering assist. An unknown warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer, where an unknown sensor was replaced. The failure recurred several months later while driving, and the "Service Advancetrac" message was displayed. The contact was able to drive to the residence. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired by an independent mechanic or dealer. The contact related the failure to NHTSA Campaign Number: 14V316000 (Steering); however, the VIN was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, but no assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 86,406.
