NHTSA Complaint #11610822 — 2017 FORD F-350

The contact owns a 2017 Ford F-350. The contact stated that upon attempting to open the sunroof, the sunroof motor was running; however, the sunroof failed to open as needed. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where a diagnostic test was performed. The contact was informed that the sunroof rail guidance system had failed and needed to be replaced. The manufacturer was also notified of the failure and informed the contact that the failure was the result of normal wear and tear. The vehicle remained in the possession of the dealer and was not repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.
