NHTSA Complaint #11610505 — 2023 FISKER OCEAN

The contact owns a 2023 Fisker Ocean. The contact received notifications of NHTSA Campaign Numbers: 24V623000 (Service Brakes, Electric), 24V499000 (Electrical System), 24V405000 (Electrical System), 24V404000 (Electrical System) and 24V466000 (Structure); however, the parts to do the recall repairs were unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that after having the 2.0 Diversion Software update completed, while attempting to depress the brake pedal, the vehicle displayed a significant reduction in regenerative braking briefly before braking as expected. Additionally, the front passenger’s side door failed to open without manually tapping the outside door handle to be able to open the door from the inside door handle. The contact stated that several unknown warning lights were illuminated during the failures. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 45 MPH, there was a grinding sound coming from the vehicle before there was a reduction in the regenerative braking briefly before the vehicle abruptly started braking. There were no warning lights illuminated. The dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 12,370.
