The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V104000 (Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Service Brakes) however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated while driving approximately 10 MPH and attempting to depress the brake pedal, there was an excessive amount of pressure on the brake pedal while attempting to stop the vehicle. The contact stated the brake pedal felt as if the Power Brake Assist had failed. The failure occurred a second time while driving approximately 45-50 MPH. The contact stated that the Parking Brake Malfunction message was displayed on the instrument panel. The dealer was contacted. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue.
