Consumer Description

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Fusion. The contact stated that the front driver's side door locking and opening mechanisms malfunctioned, and the door could not be opened from inside the vehicle. The contact rolled down the window to access the exterior door handle to open the door. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer who replaced the locking mechanism, and the vehicle was repaired. The contact stated that the failure recently reoccurred. The manufacturer was notified of the failure, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 100,000. The VIN was not available.
