NHTSA Complaint #11605926 — 2017 FORD EXPEDITION

The contact owns a 2017 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that while driving on several occasions at various speeds, there was a burning odor inside the cabin of the vehicle, and the air condition failed to operate as intended. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the wiring harness to the blower motor had melted and the pigtail on the wiring harness needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure recurred. The contact believed that the failure was associated with Manufacturer Recall: 22SF6. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was 83,000.
