NHTSA Complaint #11602651 — 2016 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2016 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the engine started overheating. The contact inspected the coolant reservoir and became aware that the coolant level was low. The contact refilled the coolant reservoir; however, two days later, the coolant level was low again. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, and it was diagnosed and determined that coolant was leaking into the radiator. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact related the failure with an unknow TSB; however, the vehicle was not included. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 75,000.
