NHTSA Complaint #11602292 — 2019 FORD FUSION ENERGI

The contact owns a 2019 Ford Fusion Energi. The contact received advance notice notification from the dealer that a failure with the charging system might cause the vehicle to catch on fire however, the part to repair the charging system was not available. The dealer was contacted; however, the vehicle was not repaired. The contact had not experienced a failure. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHSTA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 43,000.
