What component or system failed" ANSWER: Engine related to the known recall The hesitation is sporadic and unpredictable. How was your safety or the safety of others put at risk? ANSWER: Engine hesitation while getting on and off the highway materially increases the risk of an accident. Has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? ANSWER: No. After explaining the engine hesitation problem, Honda said we could bring it in and, for $300, perform testing to see if the current hesitation is related to the recall hesitation. However, the sporadic nature of the recurrence creates the uncertainty of replicating the problem and wasting our money. Has the vehicle or component been inspected by others? ANSWER: No. Were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure? No CONCLUSION: We've called the national Honda tollfree and local dealership to explain the problem and request prioritization. Consistently, they decline our request, and can't advise when they'll have the parts to perform the recall repair. We believe this to be unreasonable.
