NHTSA Complaint #11598259 — 2019 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated while in reverse, the rearview display screen occasionally displayed a blank black screen and failed to display the images as intended. There was no warning had illuminated. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving, the back over prevention screen displayed an image. The contact stated the manufacturer had performed a master reset for the display screen OTA, but the failure reoccurred. The local dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline for assistance. The failure mileage was approximately 90,000.
