NHTSA Complaint #11702422 — 2019 FORD F-150

The contact owns a 2019 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while reversing, the rear-view display displayed a black image. In addition, the rear-view camera displayed an error message, which indicated that the rear-view camera display was unavailable. The vehicle was taken to the dealer where it was diagnosed with a failed rear view camera system. The contact was informed that the rear-view camera system needed to be replaced. The vehicle was not repaired. The contact referenced an unknown recall that had a similar failure description; however, the VIN was not under recall. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure, and a case was filed. The failure mileage was approximately 67,305.
