NHTSA Complaint #11594253 — 2018 HONDA CR-V

The contact owns a 2018 Honda CR-V. The contact stated that while driving at an undisclosed speed, the check engine and several other unknown warning lights illuminated. The contact stated that several days later while attempting to start the vehicle, the vehicle failed to respond as intended. The vehicle was towed to a local dealer where it was diagnosed with water intrusion into the engine. The vehicle was repaired; however, the check engine and several unknown warning lights illuminated again. The local dealer advised the contact to bring the vehicle in to be diagnosed; however, the contact refused to pay for another diagnostic test. The contact related the failure with NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V858000 (Fuel System, Gasoline); however, the dealer stated that the parts to perform the recall repair were not available yet. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 84,000. Parts distribution disconnect.
