NHTSA Complaint #11591406 — 2019 HONDA PILOT

The contact owns a 2019 Honda Pilot. The contact received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 23V431000 (Back Over Prevention) however, the contact was concerned the replacement of the rear-view camera was not included in the recall. The contact stated that while attempting to park, there was an abnormal sound followed by the rear camera failing to operate as needed. The vehicle was taken to the dealer for an update; however, the failure persisted. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and referred the contact to the NHTSA Hotline. The failure mileage was approximately 28,000.
